Volunteer Opportunities

KCH Volunteers (aka Friends of KCH)

KCH volunteers selflessly donate their time, skills and talents to support our community Hospital. Volunteers have the opportunity to match their skills and interests with meaningful assignments. As part of the health care team, volunteers broaden and diversify staff efforts to meet the hospital's goal of providing comprehensive, quality health care. There are many areas in which volunteer help is needed and scheduling is very flexible. See the list below of some of our volunteer opportunities.

As a volunteer at Kane Community Hospital, you'll enjoy many rewards. You will feel a sense of accomplishment, learn new skills, meet new people, make new friends and make an invaluable contribution to your community.

Our Volunteers serve as patient escorts, greeters, couriers, bakers of cookies for patients and visitors, gift shop attendants, providers of music or pet therapy, linen folders and chaplains. Our volunteers are vital to the success of KCH's programs and services. We will work with you to find a position that fits your personal interest and goals while at the same time supporting the mission of KCH.

Money raised from Friends gift shop and fundraisers like book and uniform sales, food vending and other events are used to purchase equipment for our facility that will benefit patients and their families.

To become a volunteer, please complete the application.

Once your application is processed, a hospital representative will contact you with information about opportunities available based on your schedule and interests.
